DESIGNED COLOUR ENVIRONMENTS OF ANTAL NEMCSICS

I started deeming it an artistic act if I can assign such a colour design to an entangled cluster of tanks and pipes that is capable of giving a pleasant visual experience. I started considering it an artistic task, not only to create paintings inspired by emotions, experiences, thoughts, but also to shape our everyday world - our workplaces, homes, cities - by the power of colours, so that they should elicit feelings, experiences, thoughts from us. I started dealing with colour dynamics not only as a science, but also as a creative activity. I prepared colour plans for schools, hospitals, factories, apartments, churches, entire quarters, struggling with the problems of practical implementation. In the implementation of a particular colour plan sometimes I organized the colours of surfaces of several tens of thousands of square meter into a unit giving visual experiences.
